Check if the blue light on your router is flickering along with Spectrum router blinking red. Try not to break in the functioning of the device. With that, Spectrum router solid red light can be caused by disruptions in the power supply, due to which the device would fail to reach the normal operating state.

  • First of all, remove the Spectrum router’s power cord and wait for at least a minute.
  • Next, reconnect the modem supplies and wait for 2 minutes to power up the modem.
  • Ensure that the modem’s light must slowly turn on and connect to the Internet.
  • Now, using the supplied power cord, connect the Spectrum router to the wall outlet. Then turn it on.
  • In the meantime, connect your modem to your computer directly and check whether the Internet is working or not.

In both cases, when you sign in, you can check your device’s status or reset it online. You need to go to ‘My Account’ and click the ‘Services’ tab. Next is to tap on the Equipment tab and select the ‘Experience issues’ option available in front of the device you want to reset.

How to fix the Spectrum Router Red Light: 

General Instructions:

1. Verify if the coaxial Cables are connected to the modem to the socket. It might be loose, so fix it properly.

2. Verify if the Coaxial connectors are in good condition. If they are damaged, you need to change them.

3. Press Down the Reset Button on the rear of the Spectrum Router for a minute. The router will cool down. Now plug in the router again and wait for a couple of minutes.

4. Check if your Internet is working fine.

5. Verify if one of the Ethernet Cable ends is plugged into the Ethernet port on the Spectrum’s rear side. Ensure that the other end of the Ethernet cable is connected to the WAN port -Internet port located at the rear of the Spectrum router.
